My students need an iPad to use in centers. The possibilities will be endless. The iPads will be used to enhance math and reading lessons. We will use the iPads to reinforce mathematical skills/concepts.
I am in the middle of my 12th year as a third grade teacher in PA. Over the years education has changed dramatically. I believe it's always important to keep focus on the students. Today's students live in a fast-paced, ever-changing world full of choices. Creating a classroom environment that allows for student collaboration, problem-solving, and communication is essential.
My students thrive in hands-on learning and small group work.

My Project
In math, we will use the iPads to reinforce mathematical skills/concepts. There are various great math apps for us to download to reinforce skills. We can also use it for math programs at our school that we can access on the iPads. The iPads will allow students to learn math in a hands-on and engaging way. In reading we will use the iPad for Boom learning task cards. We will use it to record fluency passages to improve student reading. Another example of how to we will use it is for digital storytelling and digital portfolios.
Incorporating into my instruction will enhance the learning experience for my students.
