iPads to Enhance Our Education

My students need two iPads with protective cases to improve their literacy and math skills. They will also use the iPads to research topics in order to present information to their classmates.

My Students

My students are excited to use technology to enhance their learning. They are eager to become better readers as well as better mathematicians. Many of my students also want to improve their English.

I currently have 27 wonderful students in my classroom.

My students are very diverse and a majority of my students speak English as a second language. All of my students are excited to learn. They come to school every day and try their best. At the beginning of the year all of my students were below grade level in both reading and math. However, their hard work and determination are paying off. They are making huge gains. Ninety-six percent of the students at our school qualify for free and reduced lunch.

My Project

My students will be able to use the iPads to enhance their learning. They will be able to use educational apps to practice their reading comprehension, math computation, and English skills. They will also be able to use the iPads to research different topics and give presentations using the information they have learned.

My students have very few opportunities to use technology in school.

These iPads will allow my students to improve their academics as well as teach them how to research information they are seeking.
