My students need iPads when taking tests. Studies show students in the early grades benefit from taking tests on the iPad because of the close proximity to the test.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My goal for my ESL students at the end of the year is to be on level in both reading and in math. Closing the gaps in these academic areas are so important at the early grades and I work diligently to close these gaps every day. Using technology is instrumental and I feel iPads would be an asset.
I have 26 amazing 1st grade ESL students in Providence, Rhode Island.
They are smart and hard working students who come to school with smiles on their faces ready to learn every day. I work in a low income urban area and so I work to provide my students with the tools they need to be successful lifelong learners. My school is made up of hardworking and dedicated teachers who have their students needs as the first priority.
My Project
Students will use these iPads not only for testing but for research based opportunities. Technology is such an integral part of my classroom and I feel iPads would only enhance their learning opportunities. Whether it be working on a class research progress, independent practice, or taking a test, having these iPads would make a difference in the lives if my students.
Donations would help make my dream in my classroom become a reality.
Helping my students be successful learners would be greatly appreciated. The more technology my ESL students have, the more beneficial their learning will be. Thank you very much!
