My students need an additional iPad for every student to access during stations and iPad cases for protection.

My school is in a high-poverty area and is a Title I school. Every student receives free breakfast and lunch. A lot of our students lack many resources outside of school. Not only do the majority of the students come to school without supplies, but they also come to school without their daily needs met. The school is a PreK-5th, with roughly 280 students. The community is very small; however, it is extremely rough. Technology is very limited, so students are barely exposed to computer software programs or things of that nature. We highly encourage our students to read; however, many of them do not own a book or a pass to the library. The area is also very transient, which makes it harder to reach our students.
Many of our students lack the love for learning due to the decreased number of technology and resources available to our school.
Students come to school extremely defensive due to their home life/environments. A lot of times before true teaching can take place, behavior issues have to be addressed on a daily basis. Anything new in the classroom will engage our students.
An additional iPad in the classroom will allow me to expand the student groups for stations. The iPad cases are needed to protect the iPads. Students love technology and due to the lack of usage, they aren't familiar with how to handle and properly care for them. With the iPad cases, they are less than likely to destruct while students are using them.
The iPad cases are durable and will allow a longer life span of the iPads that are in the classroom.
Students will be able to be excited while using them and not have to take extra precaution so that they won't break.
