My Students

Our elementary school is very unique. We service military families stationed at the Air Force Base just next door. Our students are brave and courageous and will leap at the chance to learn something new.

These Pre-K to 5th grade students have already seen the world at such a young age and because of this, already have a wide variety of knowledge and unique interests.

Our students join me in the computer lab one day per week to learn about computer programming, Google Applications, basic computer functions, and digital citizenship.

My Project

I am requesting 7 iPads for our brand new technology class. Our school will need iPads 4:1 in order to implement the Project Lead the Way Launch curriculum in the 2017-2018 school year. Project Lead the Way is a STEM based curriculum that inspires students to be designers and innovators.

These iPads will help our students develop a design-thinking mindset through engaging, hands-on activities, projects, and problems.

In addition to Project Lead the Way, we will use the iPads to code robots for the first time, continue and enrich our understanding of programming games and websites, discover new information, and grow as digital citizens.
