This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have a very diverse group. My school is located in a low socioeconomic neighborhood. Most of the students are on a free or reduced-price lunch. About 90% of my students have a Hispanic background. All of them are full of energy.

My classroom has very active students.

We do a lot of activities that include movement and music. At this age, students have the need to move in order to learn better. They love music and they love to dance. They learn better by moving and singing.

My Project

The iPads will make a huge improvement in my students' learning. Children are very familiar with technology. Some of them know how to play games online and have access to technology at home. I want to make technology available to them in the classroom. They will be able to learn letters, sounds, and basic math while having fun.

Kindergarten students love learning new things, especially when technology is being used.

Many of my students come from low socioeconomic backgrounds and they don't have access to this type of technology at home. They will benefit greatly by having the iPads in the classroom because they will practice the necessary skills to succeed in school.
