Kindergarten is a foundation of the student's education. In Kindergarten students begin with learning to sound out letters and then blend words. By Christmas, they begin to read simple books. The curriculum is demanding and challenging. As a teacher, it is difficult and sometimes feels impossible to meet all the students needs.
Student's come to me on many levels and with different educational needs.
In order to meet those needs and work on different levels, we need tools. Tools like IPads will allow me to choose specific Apps that focus on a specific students needs.
My Project
IPad's are necessity in today's classroom. Each classroom has so many different academic levels, and I work very hard to accommodate all levels. That is a very difficult task and as hard as I work some students needs are still not met. It is nearly impossible to give all students 100 percent of what they need. That is why I am asking for help to purchase IPads for my classroom.
IPads is an important need in my classroom.
There are many Apps available that can accommodate and fill in the gap for students who need more than I can give. For example, I had a student who really struggled to identify her alphabet. This student had a learning disability. The rest of the class could identify their alphabet, but she struggled. Academically I needed to meet her where she was. I needed to find another way to reach her. This is where the IPad's come in. There are many Apps that focus on memorization of the alphabet , as well as many other skills. That is why it is so important to have IPad's in the classroom.
