I am so honored to tell you a bit about my new kindergarten class. We are lucky to live in a beautiful location, however, we have some areas where we lack resources. I have a class full of creative, thoughtful, artistic, adventurous, and question-asking kiddos! As a class, we love reading, doing hands-on projects, and lots of developmental stations. This is my first year teaching kindergarten (previously taught 4th), my teaching toolbox is full of upper elementary tools and I would love to be able to add some new resources to better support my new class.
My Project
We are in need of chargers for our classroom iPads. We currently can only charge 8 at a time and with 21 students that charge doesn't last long! We are hoping to get charging stations to allow all of our iPads to be charged at once so we can use them with our new reading program. We are lucky to have a new reading program... however, online learning is a part of that and it is hard to complete with only 1/3 of the class being on iPads at a time.
I also included some books for read-aloud based on my students' current interests.
