Let me start by saying my students are amazing.
Every day they do something that makes me proud. I teach PPCD (Preschool Programs for Children with Disabilities) and Pre-K Inclusion. I have students with severe disabilities to no disabilities at all but they all still learn just in different ways. Our school is a Title I school with a high percentage of students receiving free/reduced rate lunch. I strive to get my students everything I can to help foster their learning and make them successful in life.
My Project
My students need a chance to use an iPad mini at school. Many of my students don't have access to technology at home. They'll be thrilled to receive an iPad mini. The iPad is very useful in the classroom:
*daily picture schedules for students with Autism
*speech apps for students with speech delays
*number recognition and writing
*alphabet recognition and writing
*phonics
*puzzles
*sorting
*critical thinking
*creating and editing books
*creating and editing videos
*creating music
*creating art
*creating and edition pictures
... and the list can go on and on!
My students will learn to facilitate conversation while observing photos, engage with literature, develop skills in music, inspire creations in art, create video books, conducting research and much, much more!
