Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Camden, NJ has been ranked as America's most dangerous city. The majority of the students in my class receive free or reduced-price lunch. Despite the challenges my students face living in this environment, they come to school eager to learn and grow. For many students, school is their safe place, and I want to create the best environment possible for them to feel safe, secure, and cared for. They are the future of this city and have the potential to improve their community.
My Project
We currently have only one iPad to be shared among 15 students and 2 teachers. The students utilize it to access learning games and eBooks while the teachers use it for documentation through our curriculum's app.
Having additional iPads means that the students can have one for literacy activities and eBooks and another one for math and science activities.
The other iPad will be used by the teachers for assessments, lesson planning, small group activities, and large group activities. The big grip case will be for the student's iPad to protect it. The keyboard case will be used mostly by the teachers for assessment and lesson planning.
