This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My first graders are amazing, smart students, who come in every day eager to learn and ready to gain more knowledge. They love learning through technology and it makes them more eager to learn. Our school is a great place to learn, students are wonderful and deserve the best for their education. These first graders come from a low income household, but despite their backgrounds they come to school wanting to learn new things every single day. Please help us raise for this fund so that my students can have more opportunities to learn.

My Project

Technology is a fantastic form to help students stay engaged in their education. I would love to provide my students with 2 iPads: these devices will help them in phonics, reading, and writing. This technology will make my first graders more successful in the classroom and in their future lives. The students will learn how to use knowledge of syllabic sounds, word parts, word segmentation, and syllabication to spell and use phonological knowledge to match sounds to letters to build words each day. The iPads will make the learning environment more enjoyable and fun. With the generous gift of the iPads, we will be able to give students access to technology and learning websites to prepare them for the future! We will also be able to utilize more learning systems and let students work on collaboration while they learn.
