Help me give my students new iPads so that we can effectively do research and give more students the opportunity to engage with technology. Having additional iPads will support the independent projects that we do throughout the year.

My Students

My first-grade students have been placed in a Gifted and Talented classroom setting. They come from a variety of backgrounds. Our school has great diversity in many areas. I am teaching math and science this year. We work at a faster pace than the traditional first-grade classes. Our students come to school each day eager to learn new things. They desire to build relationships with their teachers and peers. They are a fun and energetic group of children that are always ready to take on any new challenge.

My Project

Our first graders love technology and they look forward to their time on iPads everyday. We have seen the learning that can take place when students have access to technology. We use iPads for a variety of tasks during the year. They are able to do some research with the limited number of iPads that we currently have. By adding 2 more iPads to our classroom we will be able to allow more children to engage with the technology and support them in deepening their learning. Our students complete several research projects during the year.

iPads give them the opportunity to learn more and share what they have learned with others.
