This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are mostly from low-socioeconomic homes. Our high school is made up of about 95% Title I students. My students are smart, self-starting and ambitious and most of them want to go to colleges or trade schools that what makes them special. My Algebra III Online Class was computer based before the Corona Pandemic. We had PC's for them in the Computer Lab. Now that we are virtual some students don't have access of a device and our school district has not supplied all of my students a device.
My Project
Students will utilize these iPads at home during the pandemic. They can log in and use them for all of their virtual classes not just my class. Also, when and if we start back to in person schooling students will would need their on personal devices.
Some students are using cell phones to do class work.
Which is really cumbersome trying to read the small print. Other students are sharing devices with other siblings at home.
The PPE will be used with helping protect and keep students safe while we wait for the pandemic come to an end.
