I teach the most amazing little first graders at a Title I school! They are intelligent, funny, and genuinely love to learn. However, more than 70% of my class are ELLs - English Language Learners. Many have just moved to this country within the last year. My students benefit from having access to a lot of great websites that not only help them learn English but improve their literacy and mathematics skills.
My students have accounts to websites such as I-Ready, MyOn, Mathletics, Brainpop, News O Matic, etc but unfortunately, many of them don't have a way of using these very valuable websites.
Some don't have computers at home and others have a very limited time using them (sometimes around 15 minutes only once a week). Please help my students get iPads that will help them learn English, ELA, and math in a fun and productive way!
My Project
My students are fortunate enough to have access to many valuable websites that will help them learn English and also strengthen their ELA and Mathematics skills.
However, they are not able to access them because they lack the proper technology.
My students were just given usernames and passwords to an amazing website called iReady however many tablets in the school are not able compatible to the website. Students should be using this website for at least 45 minutes a week in school. Please help us get iPads where all of our websites will be fully accessible to my students! Thank you!
