iPads for Learning

My students need iPads to further our use of technology in the room. These iPads will benefit two classes of 4th graders to use during small groups, projects, centers, interventions, and more.

My Students

I teach at a small, rural school in Arkansas where students' access to technology is mostly limited to school. My students love using technology in class daily, as they have grown up in a world where it has always been very prevalent.

Each student learns differently, and by using technology in our classroom, we are able to differentiate so that each student receives what they need to achieve and grow.

My hope is to continue this effort with the help of additional technology in the classroom.

My Project

Our students love using technology in the classroom, and we try to incorporate it as much as possible. These iPads would be mainly used for small group intervention in math and literacy, as well as projects and coding.

Our students have a range of abilities that require different strategies to help them succeed.

With the iPads, we will be able to use so many resources and put them at the students' fingertips. They will also open up more opportunities for students to use coding in the classroom, make video projects, research ideas, keep a digital portfolio for reflection, and much more. We are starting this project with two iPads each, but hope to increase to six each.
