Help me give my students developmentally appropriate access to technology. iPads will give my students a hands on way to use technology easily. Being only 5 years old typing and maneuvering a trackpad is a difficult task.
We are a diverse classroom of 32 Kindergarten students. We are a Title l school. Every child in my class receives a school breakfast and lunch 100% free of charge each day.
Even though my students have faced adversity in their life, they come to school ready to learn each day.
I could not ask for a better group of students to have in my classroom! We are thankful for your time to look over our project and helping to make our year a successful one!
I am requesting help to give my students access to the internet in a developmentally appropriate way. Some of my students are as young as 4 years old. Using a track pad and a keyboard is a very difficult task for students this age. The iPads would allow them to easily access technology for interactive online centers.
A class set of iPads will allow my students to create online portfolios to share with their school day and work with their parents.
This is will create a sense of pride for my students and help their parents feel connected with their learning.
The iPad cart will help keep all the materials safe and secure. This will make sure all iPads are accounted for, stay organized, and have a place to charge. Headphones will make sure that students using the iPads will not disrupt students who are working around them.
The surface pro will give me a platform for student to learn keyboard and use a touchscreen to easily transition from touchscreen only. The surface pro will also allow me to make sure student work from the iPads is being tracked and to make notes and observations of student easily throughout the school day.
