As a teacher in an inner-city school, my students are faced with many challenges both inside and outside of school. My goal as an educator is to provide my students with a safe, comforting and enjoyable environment when they enter my classroom. I love to help prepare my young fourth graders for success in their years to come. I would love to help spark their interest in learning if given the opportunity to provide them with up to date technology in the classroom.
My Project
My amazing fourth grade math and science students love to learn through today's technology, four iPads will make our classroom engagement thrive!
Throughout the school day in math and science, having access to classroom iPads will allow my students to use a variety of educational apps and websites.
In my classroom, I teach using small group differentiated instruction. This means that I tailor my lessons to meet the needs of each and every student.
Having iPads will allow my students to access programs including Imagine Math, XTRA Math, Prodigy Math and Discovery Education for science. The great thing about these programs is that they are individualized to meet the needs of all of my students and varying learning styles.
I would love to have iPads in the classroom because research shows that integrating digital technology in a learning environment has a positive impact on student engagement, motivation, confidence levels and attitudes towards learning. Any donations to this project would be greatly appreciated and would be making a difference in fifty lives!
