My students need iPads to help each student reach their full potential.
This project expired on August 9, 2018.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
Our school is very small. Many of my students come from low-income families in a rural area of Missouri. My students face many challenges, but they rise above those challenges to be the best that they can be. To qualify to attend my Pre-K class students must first attend Preschool Screening. The 15 students with the lowest screening scores are then placed in my classroom. This can be challenging, but it makes seeing the students learn and grow that much more exciting! I love seeing the excitement in their eyes as they learn something new.
My students are in need of 3 iPads to be used at a learning center. Young students get very excited about getting to use an iPad at school.
The iPads will keep students engaged in learning while having fun.
There are so many great apps that will help to reinforce what is being taught in the classroom. All students do not learn at the same rate and many apps allow for individualized learning paths which will help each student reach their full potential while having fun.
Reading Eggs is one such app that will be used by my students. Reading Eggs is filled with pre-reading activities. It is a self-paced app that uses phonemic awareness, phonics, vocabulary, reading comprehension, and fluency to help students to become fluent and efficient readers. I can access each student's account to see which areas they may need a little extra help with and which areas they are excelling. Please help our students reach their potential. Thank you for your help.
