Help me give my students an opportunity to show their dedication to college prep by giving 2 of my students iPads, as well as an extra TI-84 for the classroom.

My Students

As an art school, we appreciate students with a diverse range of talents. I have never seen such a diverse range of interests and skills in my life before, and I am so proud to be a mentor to many of these amazing people.

While each of our students is unique, they all share a common element: Passion.

Every day these kids present me with new ideas, and challenge me to improve as a teacher. It is truly a unique environment where creativity and determination are fostered.

My Project

This will help motivate students to do their best on practice material that is important for college preparation. Because it is often difficult to assign traditional grading scores to meaningful preparatory work, a lot of students lose motivation which makes this intrinsically valued task lose some of its meaning for those who need it most.

Students who show unwavering dedication and improvement will be given the chance to receive an iPad for their work.

Students who participate frequently to be entered into a raffle to receive one of these iPads at the end of the quarter. This will motivate students who often struggle with intrinsic motivation to pursue excellence to receive an extrinsic reward.
