Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
If you were to walk into my classroom you would find young eager learners displaying a desire to acquire knowledge. My 3rd grade Reading/Language Arts classroom, located in Florida has a variety of academic needs. The population of my student includes general ed. students, special ed. students, as well as English Language Learners.
I would like to provide my students with an enriching and highly motivating learning experience with the use of technology.
With the rigor of Common Core standards in Florida, I would love to have an interactive approach that would allow me to leverage technology as a means to fuel their desire to learn.
With your support, we can provide them with educational resources that will motivate them to be life-long learners not only through their early years, but well into the future.
My Project
Having these iPads in my classroom would facilitate our daily learning Reading and Language Arts subjects. I would be able to have students work independently on the many assignments that I have planned for them this upcoming school year. I also plan on using the iPads as part of my group rotations during our reading time block. My hope is to include as much relative technology in my lessons as possible. By having these iPads, I expect it will help my special education students to be more engaged and on task then they have been in the past. I also expect it will keep many of my students motivated to learn.
