My Students
My students are pre-school to first graders in a self-contained supported learning classroom. They are a very diverse group of learners, and many face daily challenges that most adults have never had to.
They deserve the best, and I try each day to deliver just that!
Despite any limitations they may face, my students are an enthusiastic group of children that love to try new things and get very excited when we get to introduce something new. I have a friendly, outgoing class that is eager to learn and a joy to teach!
My Project
I teach children in a self-contained assisted learning environment for pre-school to first grade students. The children in my class have a range of both strengths and needs, so finding materials that I can use to differentiate my instruction, while providing a calm and comfortable environment is of high importance.
iPads that I'm requesting can provide my students with access to fun learning apps, and more importantly, aid in the development of their communication skills.
There are apps for picture exchange communication, schedules, calming music, speech development, read alouds, fine motor development and so much more!! My students deserve to have access to technology that will enhance their educational environment and encourage them to achieve necessary developmental skills.
