My Students
I work in a rural county. At my school, 30-40% of the population are military students. Roughly 40 to 45% of the students receive free and reduced lunch. The school is a Title I school. The population of students is pretty diverse and comes from a variety of social and economic backgrounds.
My students enjoy learning through hands-on materials.
They come to school each day ready to learn and excited to see what the day will bring. The joy they bring to the room brightens my day.
My Project
I am trying to eventually have enough iPads for each student to be able to use their own. In order to do this, I am doing projects for 5 iPads and cases. Thankfully we have gotten enough to be able to currently use them during stations for students to get on district purchased math sites that will help with remediation or enrichment. If we get enough for each student we will also be able to use them to play math games such as Quizizz and Kahoot. The students are overjoyed about having this new technology in our classroom on a daily basis.
