My beautiful students are full energy. They are eager to learn and love to explore the community around our school. They will be thrilled to know that they will have the ability to take technology with us on our trips to help document their experiences.
My first graders love to use technology.
They are 25 eager boys and girls who have the gift of wonderment and awe. We are fortunate that we are located in an area where there are many learning opportunities. We can walk to many of the places around our school. We are considered a small elementary school with about 500 students from kindergarten through 5th grade. We are considered a "Mindful" school that encourages students to be creative, critical problem solvers. Each child's uniqueness is celebrated and loved.
My Project
With a classroom iPad the students will be able to document our learning trips. They will be able to take pictures and look up information on site. They will be able to play educational games to help them reinforce the skills they need to succeed. Each student will be able to take photos that we can use back in the classroom to research and reflect upon. We will be able to take the iPad with us wherever we go as well as use it daily in our classroom.
Having an iPad that we can take with us and the that the students can have access to on a daily basis will give them technology skills that they will need for their future.
Many students do not have access to technology in their homes. It will give students opportunities to learn how technology works and the knowledge to use it safely.
