Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I work with an amazing bunch of kiddos who love to learn but, struggle to control their impulses and behavior. My students are active and need a variety of lesson styles, ways to express their learning, and hands on activities to keep them focused.

Their passion for learning and my passion for teaching, inspire me search for ways to keep my students engaged and learning!

The busier they are and the more engaged they are and that leads to learning that will last a life time. It also helps in reducing their inappropriate behaviors and helps them be more successful. I love my job because I love these kids and it is amazing to watch them learn and grow both academically and as people.

My Project

Having an iPad offers another very engaging way for students to access not only their curriculum but additional resources to help them bridge any gaps. Since students are all very different and require different tools and strategies to be successful it is helpful to be able to vary the tools I use to help them meet their goals. Currently, our class has access to the computer lab 1 time per week and only for 40 minutes. It would be amazing to have technology we can use in the classroom everyday.

Our Special Education classroom has students with a variety of learning styles and needs and iPads offer the variety and engagement students need to be successful learners.

Students love technology and are highly engaged while they get to use it and there are billions of apps and programs that are available with iPads that will not only engage students but can be specialized to meet their individual needs.
