Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students live in the inner city of Philadelphia. These students are low-income students who are at risk of dropping out of school every day. My students have to dodge many obstacles every day just to get to school. For most of our students, their school is their safe haven; a place that they actually call home.

The funding in Philadelphia continues to be very limited, and so the demand to assist students in achieving and reaching their dreams become more and more difficult to accomplish.

Your assistance with my projects is greatly appreciated, and I know my students would appreciate all that is donated!

My Project

Having an iPad Pro in my office will help me to help my students with College Applications, classwork, designing projects, portfolios, Mindful/Headspace activities, and presentations. We will be able to use the Pencil to take notes in a more effective and efficient manner.

We don't have a Smartboard in my office, but having an iPad Pro will help when I work with small groups of students.

This will also allow me to meet students anywhere in school so I can give them more personalized attention.

It is my hope that this iPad will be a way to enhance student learning at CHS.
