Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My objective is for my students to continue to be motivated and challenged so that they can keep boosting their own confidence and achieving success to fully develop their self-potential.
I teach a group of special education students who experience learned helplessness every day because they were told that their disability hinders their learning.
In reality, all they truly need is to rediscover the joy of learning. And once that light bulb clicks, my students can bring a positive classroom energy that continually inspires and motivates others. Our school provides such a stimulating, collaborative, and safe environment for students of various differences and abilities that students are often celebrated for their diversity and achievements. I work for a school where teachers put students first.
My Project
My class needs iPad stands to create a blended-learning environment, where students will be engaged in different activities and working on different concepts and skills in science and math. We want to create a culture that sets high academic expectations and encourages students to own their learning. This is where our class needs your assistance in helping us build our blended learning classroom.
My class is currently requesting for 15 iPad stands that will allow for a rotation model of learning, where students rotate between different science and math stations, either working online or spending face-to-face time with me.
Students learn in part on iPads, which change from being merely just a fun piece of technology that they can use to another way for me to learn in-depth about every student and their skill levels.
With this kind of learning model, students will become active learners and will often challenge themselves to work harder and learn new material that had not yet been taught. My hope as their educator is to boost their motivation and engagement and to help them recognize that they are independent beings responsible for the decisions that they make and the successes they achieve.
