The use of technology these days are KEY and an essential part of any classroom. My students LOVE when we use the SmartBoard and we share computers in our classroom, however 3 computers are not sufficient! My students are extremely motivated to learn and they love hands-on learning. Since I have been working in a co-taught classroom in the past, present and future, I think that the idea of the teachers having iPads to currently assess and then give the students instant feedback and learning at that moment is imperative. Many students in the class really need the one to one support and guidance.
My Project
My co-teacher and I would benefit from the use of iPads in our hands as we are conferring with our large size class. It will allow us to have easy access to their data. My co teacher and I feel having iPads will help us work with students and the students can use the iPads as well. This will be beneficial for our lower level students especially as they prefer hands-on learning. There are some great apps to encourage reading and listening comprehension as well.
We feel the iPads would allow us to be able to differentiate and further meet our students and as they STRIVE using hands on and in the moment learning!
Having the neat and organized data at our finger tips for all subject areas would be useful on a daily basis. As we would be able to quickly click to a previous day meeting with a child and the anecdotal notes we took. The students will be able to use these 2 iPads and save their work for future use. We will be able to better access students as well!
As we further work with our class and their variety of needs and learning strengths and weaknesses this would be a huge asset to our teaching.
