My school is located in the heart of Great Kills, Staten Island and is dedicated to the belief that all students can meet high standards of excellence. The school works hard to provide a positive and supportive environment for all students, staff, and parents.
In the art room I teach 300 different students.
These 300 different students include students with disabilities, English as a New Language students and students with above average intelligence. In the art room I am striving to engage my students through hands-on activities. Each day they come to class eager to learn.
My Project
I need an iPad Pro and Apple Pencil to help my students stay focused and involved during lecture and whole group instruction if we are participating in remote or in-person instruction.
An iPad Pro will allow me to create engaging and interactive drawing lessons for my students.
Often times my students have a hard time staying focused during drawing demonstrations. The use of technology will allow me to enhance student experience especially for those children who are learning remotely .
In the classroom, the iPad will allow my students to document and reflect upon their artistic process and their artwork as they work on it through a program called SeeSaw, and integrate a writing component into their work.
