I teach a general education kindergarten class that is comprised of students of all capabilities. Many of my students come from families who are new to the country; therefore, they are learning the English language. I also have some students who require special services. My students come from varied backgrounds with different economic needs.
I am excited that my boys and girls are reading and writing.
Many of them are reading at a second-grade level, and I am very proud of them for that. They come to school every day eager to learn.
My Project
During this time of quarantine, teachers are planning and teaching from home. I am looking to obtain an iPad pro and accessories to help me prepare my lessons for remote learning. I am currently working on my private computer, however it is older so it is doesn't have the space for all my files and the battery is dying, therefore, I have to be continuously plugged in.
I am looking to get an iPad because it allows me to record lessons, have access to google classroom and have the ability to work anywhere in my house which is needed as I juggle home life and work life.
I am also asking for accessories such as headphones with a microphone which will allow better ZOOM sessions with the students, a stylus which will allow me to write on pdf's and a keyboard which will make typing up lessons easier. I truly believe having an IPAD pro right now will help this transition of teaching remotely run more smoothly.
