Help me give my students a classroom iPad so that we can listen to audiobooks, monitor behavior, use games and apps to make learning more engaging, and teach students about computer science.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach in an urban elementary school in the Bronx. My class of 28 is a mixture of general education and special education students. My co-teacher and I strive to make accommodations daily for each of our students. Our students are eager to achieve and persevere through rigorous instruction, but we lack some of the resources we need. The work we do in this classroom is aimed to help prepare our students for the future. This means something different for every student. Some may need visual aids, some may need to use a laptop to type their work, and others need sensory breaks. Aside from academics we work daily on building relationships, working collaboratively, following directions, and emotional intelligence. We celebrate little wins together each day.
My Project
This iPad will allow us to monitor student behavior and progress in the moment, help struggling readers, make learning more engaging through games and apps, and allow students to use programs that promote computational thinking through computer science. Our school of almost 1,700 students shares laptops that rotate around the school. This means that there are days when we cannot use them. Having an iPad in our classroom would allow us 24/7 access to as many resources as possible. With a classroom made up of 28 different learning styles, we need multiple avenues to create educational success. We thank you in advance for your generosity.
