Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
We are a STEM certified school. My first grader population is Hispanic and African American. Our first grade began a business model with our students. We are teaching our students to be entrepreneurs. We have started a business called “Sugar Kids Beauty”. Each first grade classroom focuses on a particular area of a business model. My personal classroom is in charge of the marketing department for the “business”. Proceeds from our "business" goes back into our community through service projects.

Our classroom is in need of IPad and IPhone mounts and tripods! We use technology in our classroom daily. Having IPad mounts and stands would enhance the learning experience and bring new life and possibilities to our technology use. We use iPads daily during literacy centers. We also love to create videos to enhance project based learning. Having mounts for our iPads and IPhone would expand all the ways that we use technology in our classroom. It also lends itself well to flexible seating that has been implemented in my classroom. Having mounts and tripods would also protect our iPads from so much handling and minimize opportunities for accidents.
