iPad Minis for Mini Kindies

My students need 6 iPad minis for small group instruction. The 6 OtterBox cases are to protect the iPads from accidents that might occur with kindergarteners.

My Students

My students are always learning with hands on activities. By the end of the year, I would like my students to learn letters, sounds, sight words and number sense. My biggest challenge is the wide range of ability levels.

I have 22 active students in a kindergarten classroom.

My classroom is center based with different ability levels. I work in a magnet school district which is very diverse. The theme in the school I work at is technology. I would like to include more technology into my classroom to go along with our magnet theme.

My Project

I will use the iPad minis for small group instruction. I will use the minis to differentiate my instruction. Students who are reading will be able to read leveled books in small groups. Students struggling with letters and sounds will play alphabet games. The iPad minis provide a variety of different apps to meet the needs of all students. There are many interactive games that are developmentally appropriate for kindergarteners. The OtterBox cases will protect the iPads.

This donation will improve my classroom by incorporating more technology.

Students will benefit from the differentiated instruction that will be provided in the classroom. We live in a technological world and it is important for students to learn to use technology at an early age.
