My students need an iPad mini to use for small group instruction as well as literacy stations. The applications we can access through this device provide many opportunities for my student.
I teach at a very large elementary school near the capitol of Texas. My students are kindergarten kiddos that are eager to learn and excited about most everything! I have a class of 22 students that come from all different backgrounds. They come from many different countries, speak many different languages and learn in many different ways.
Their energy is infectious and their love of learning is one to be emulated.
They are inquisitive, kind, innovative and full of life! They are hands on learners and curious about the world and the way things work. They have the kindest hearts and truly love to see their classmates succeed.
My Project
My students are very comfortable and fluent in technology. We need an iPad mini to add to our rotations for small groups, literacy stations and guided math. Students will use the iPad to listen to stories, work on phonic skills and even practice researching! We include technology in many of our lessons, but having an iPad can put the technology in the students' hands!
I believe in appropriate and effective technology integration and I am committed to helping my students learn the benefit of utilizing technology in this way.
Students are naturally more engaged when learning is FUN and challenging! The availability of technology helps to also support differentiation based on students' needs. Having access to the applications on an iPad mini will guarantee that fun and learning coincide.
