iPad in the Art Room!

Help me give my students an iPad, Apple Pencil, and keyboard for creating digital art.

My Project

My students are eager to learn about the arts and different types of mediums and how they can mix that with other content areas. They are students who are at a 80% poverty level, and art allows the students to express themselves in ways that words will not allow. Cross-curricular collaboration is important for the students. It not only allows the students to work, but it also shows that these students are hard working, goal-oriented students who are in an advanced art class. They respect each other and materials.

Students will learn about making digital art and sketches using modern technology.

They will use the iPad to create digital masterpieces. The iPad Pro's new technology allows you to digitally vary the pressure of your strokes with the Apple Pencil. This will begin to show them how to digitally layer their artwork. This will also help integrate technology in the art room. Students will create comics and illustrations which will help students learn new career paths. They will also learn a new medium in the process.
