Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students have been diagnosed with varying levels of Autism Spectrum Disorder in an urban elementary school in East Boston.

My school has a very diverse set of learners with 70 percent of these students being English Language Learners as well as also having a highly specialized strand for students with Autism from preschool through grade 5.
These students work so hard everyday to access parts of the world that come so naturally to their typical peers.
My Project
This IPAD will create so many learning experiences my students would not be able to access without the use of this technology! Often times my students require the use of technology to help them access their education. Many apps can help us create these learning opportunities. For example the app Choice board creator can help students access academic programs they will attend to! An app called Pictello will help students create their own social stories! Touch and Learn emotions will help them identify emotions with real life pictures! A mood-meter can help us to understand how their are feeling when they can't tell us themselves! The opportunities are endless with an IPAD!
