This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My 23 kindergarten students are sweet, loving, and eager to learn! I love how they have an interest in learning and love to participate in our daily lessons. My students also love helping each other!! They are always making sure that their neighbor is doing the right thing! What I find most special about my students is that most of them are bilingual. For some, English is their second language and they are becoming fluent through school and socializing with their peers!

My Project

I am so lucky to already have 5 iPads in the classroom, however Having another iPad in the classroom will allow each group to have a full set of iPads while doing centers! Our centers consist of technology, phonics, library and teacher led instruction! On the iPads students will use iready and other instructional applications to improve their phonics and reading skills! Students can also use the iPads during morning work time. They will be able to make their iready math and reading minutes during this time. Finally, the iPads are a great resource for students to read and listen to online books.
