Mrs. de Lange from Baltimore MD is requesting technology through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
My students need an iPad so that they can engage in interactive math and reading applications in either one of our reading or math workstations.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
Some of my students do not have access to technology and are in need of learning to use different types of technology. This year could be the year where they develop skills in using technology while at the same time applying skills learned in math and reading to games and applications on the iPad.
I have an excellent group of young leaders, learners, and problem solvers.
My students are excited to learn, responsible for their behaviors, and respectful of their classroom, their teacher, and each other. Our school works to create a safe environment where students can take pride in their learning, be held responsible for their choices, and engage in meaningful relationships with staff, faculty, and fellow students. My students take these ideas to heart and make it their goal to come to class focused, enthusiastic, and ready to learn.
With an iPad in the classroom, students would be able to apply their math and reading skills to various math and reading applications using technology. This allows for a fun and innovative way for students to learn and interact. At the same time, students are learning and getting access to technology.
This project will make a difference by allowing my students the chance to access different applications to further their learning and application of different math and reading skills.
Every student learns at their own pace and in their own way. By having an iPad in the classroom, tactile and visual learners will have access to a new way of learning and at the same time, enjoy their learning process!
