I work with K through 5th grade students who have communication delays. The global pandemic with Covid-19 has made everything extra challenging even more so this year. Learning loss is real. Teacher and staff shortages are real. Every little bit helps to make our learning environment more manageable and accessible.
Making speech therapy more engaging, accessible and fun helps us all achieve our goals.

Our school is part of the 5th largest, very diverse district in the nation. With that, funding education has been a struggle. Teachers have had to face frozen salaries multiple times throughout the years on top of the challenges Covid-19 has brought. Your donations are very much appreciated.
My Project
We now heavily rely on technology when teaching our kids. We used video conferencing apps for virtual sessions, engage students with educational activities, assess students, write reports, present in meetings and so much more using technology. Every so often, my school computer decides not to cooperate and at those moments, I go to my personal phone and see if I can use it as a back up.
Having an iPad and its familiar technology will give students and their families another resource to access services I provide as a Speech Language Pathologist.
This project will be a great addition and provide another useful tool for the speech room.
