My Students

My students come from a wide range of socioeconomic backgrounds and ethnicities. Currently, 58 percent of my students come from low income families.

I am the only counselor working with 580 students.

Many of my students need a lot of social/emotional support.

My Project

As I work with students that struggle coming back to school after virtual/in home learning many need a little help. This iPad will give the a safe space to use a breathing app, a slime app, or even to draw. I have one student that enjoys drawing and would be able to more easily self regulate with the help of this technology.

One particular example comes from a third grade student that has had struggles all year to recover from at home learning.

He requires daily social emotional support. An iPad will be an additional resource to use while working with this student.
