This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
We are a large urban district in Ohio. They are bi-lingual students in a French Immersion School. My class is diverse with students with many nationalities. In typical day, my students learn different topics in French.
My students learning about different cultures, they enjoying researching different countries.
For example, every January we learn about a Francophone country in-depth.
They loving hearing real stories about people who came from different countries, they like to compare their life with those around the world.
My Project
I am interested in teaching my 5th and 6th graders how to code using Sphero Language. I believe technology is a very important thing to know, especially at my students age.
The ability to code computers will benefit them through out their school career and in the business world, once they get jobs.
I already have a few of the Sphero balls in my class, but I will need the iPad to allow my students to code the robot balls to move around obstacles.
My students will be able to tie in skills they learned in math, science, and reading as they learn to code.
