My students need an iPad and case to help with individualized instruction. They will use it to improve handwriting and to read online texts ( to name just a few examples!)
I strive to teach each child as an individual. I know how motivating and adaptable technology is to my students. Having an iPad would make it easy to create activities to accelerate and remediate my students.
My students attend a neighborhood school, which consists of 650 students.
Approximately 40% of the population is free/reduced lunch. My students are in a traditional first grade class with various ability levels and interests. I try to include movement, music, games and discussions into all we learn.
We need an iPad and case to help with individualized instruction. An iPad would make it possible to pinpoint and streamline instruction to help challenge and motivate each child. I would use it for basic skills for students who are still building a foundation and also for research and higher level skills for students who are ready to progress to the next level.
The use of technology by young students is a springboard for their future.
An iPad would help students analyze and create as well as obtain new learning. Being able to provide differentiated learning across many levels will only help them as they progress through the grades.
DonorsChoose makes it easy for anyone to help a classroom in need. Public school teachers from every corner of America create classroom project requests, and you can give any amount to the project that inspires you.
