My Students

I have been working with special needs students for 9 years and this is my passion. I have found that technology helps improve my students learning. I teach Prek and work with students with a variety of expectionalities. I have verbal and nonverbal students. My students have communication needs that can be improved through the use of a variety of applications on the Ipad.

My CSS team is the 2015-2016 winners of the District collaboration

award. This is the first year we are an all PreK ESE site.

My Project

My students can benefit from an Ipad because they can use it to help them with their communication. They have applications that speak for the students who are nonverbal. This allows the student the ability to communicate without being frustrated.

They are also visual learners and can use the applications on the Ipad to increase their letter recognition, learning new sight words and counting.

They can also use the IPad to work on age appropriate developmental activities. I have found that technology is engaging for students and has helped increase their love for learning. Thank you for your support.
