"It is not about what it is, it's about what it can become." by Dr. Seuss. This is a quote that is used in my kindergarten class which makes every student be accountable for their learning. An iPad would give my students a clear advantage on becoming a successful student.
My class is made up of 12 boys and 7 girls, a total of 19 kindergarten students, who love every moment that they are in our room.
They amaze me continuously in everything that they do. Kindergarten students love life and really have a unique and wonderful way of looking at the world. Our school's motto is a caring community and this is found in the dedicated time and energy that the staff has with our students. We use life skills that help teach the children what they need to be successful adults.
My Project
The iPad will be used to teach phonological awareness, phonics, and sight word recognition to my students. This will be done through whole group instruction and with my intervention students. Intervention students need that little bit of extra help to be successful.
To be able to touch a life and make their lives a better place is the reason I want the iPad for my classroom.
Our children are our future and their future is in our hands. What a better enrichment tool to give to our students is an iPad in this ever changing technological era?
