My Students

I teach 6th, 7th, and 8th graders science at a district charter school! We strive to make learning meaningful and authentic! We go out into the community several times a year on field trips and for community service. 8th grade students at my school also participate in an internship program and create capstone projects based on their internships.

When they are in my classroom, I get them excited for learning through project based learning activities.

Student make deep connections to what they learn based on choice and self-directed learning.

My Project

Students connect better to their learning when digital technology is incorporated. Digital learning technologies can enable students to grasp STEM concepts more quickly and fully and engage in learning more readily, while also improving instructional techniques, leveraging instructor time, and facilitating the widespread sharing of knowledge.

Digital technology in coordination with STEM in my classroom will better prepare my students for the future.

iPads are ideal for my middle school students because we can take them outside, they are lightweight, and we can connect iPads with other technology including pocket labs, 3D printers, and other programs that teach programing skills!
