My Project

As a special education teacher, a lot of my job involves pulling students for testing, observing behaviors in real time and monitoring progress towards student’s IEP goals. Currently that’s all done on various sticky notes, the back of worksheets and on a laptop, which is stored at my desk.

I am looking for a more efficient way to track student progress and eliminate the many papers used to collect data.

An iPad will allow for data to be streamlined to from anywhere in the building, to my laptop, which the rest of my team will also have access to. Students will also have the opportunity to use the iPad to complete progress monitoring on the iPad as well. A lot of the goal tools used at my school are already available online, so having this other technology component will help track student progress.
