I teach 4th grade at a Title I school in South Alabama. My students come from a variety of backgrounds. However, their love of technology on a daily basis is one thing they have in common.
Technology captures their interest and attention and sparks their love for learning.
My students learn best when they are engaged with a variety of resources. They like stay busy and have fun learning!

My Project
I love teaching fourth grade math and I do my best to make it fun and engaging for my students. However, I have seen math become challenging for many students who have not learned the basic math facts. I work hard to help them master the facts so they can move forward and feel success.

I have seen struggling students experience great success using an iPad for fact fluency with resources such as Reflex math and MobyMax. These students begin to feel more confident and it is wonderful to see the difference in their work and effort. Having an extra iPad will really help more students utilize the wonderful math programs we have.
I want my students to have a solid foundation of the facts so that they can be successful and be prepared to tackle harder concepts like fractions and long division.
