My Students

Learning a new language is not an easy task, yet my English Language Learner (ELL) students must face this challenge every day when they come to school.

My students are all ELLs who speak a language other than English at home.

They represent 14 nations around the world, speak different languages, and come from diverse backgrounds and socioeconomic opportunities. My students attend a public elementary school in Washington State. My ELL students are very capable of learning not only English, but also all academic subjects. However, many of them often lack the basic resources and exposure to experiences that can lead to future success.

My Project

Technology is simply the new way of learning and an iPad will provide my ELLs with a window of opportunities to learn and expand their knowledge and ability to express in English. With your donations, an iPad could help my ELLs learn English by listening and practicing reading with ebooks, writing stories and practicing handwriting among many other learning opportunities.

This newer technology will take learning English to the next level for my present ELL students and for those in the future.

With an iPad, my ELL students will not only enjoy learning, but will also be challenged and successful while learning a new language.
