My Students

My students come from a variety of backgrounds, cultures, and socioeconomic groups, but they share one thing in common - they all have Individual Education Plans, so they need extra help to access school curriculum.

They also share a common desire - to be able to experience and understand the same things as other students their age.

My job is to find ways to make school a safe space to try new things, ask questions without fear, and celebrate success, in whatever form it takes.

My Project

Most of my students do not have access to technology like an iPad. All students deserve to have the opportunity to try new things, and this requested Apple iPad mini 2 tablet will make that possible. I would like my students to have a chance to explore new ways and new avenues for learning, and the tablet will allow them to try games and demos of activities that we cannot do in class, like dissections in Life Science. This will give them experience and make learning fun.

Just because my students learn differently, doesn't mean they can't learn.

Technology like this evens the playing field for my kids.
