Help me give my students more attention by using the iPad to create Quizlets and checking for understanding, while my computer monitors will be used for the zoom.
My students are from low income, broken homes. All students at our school receive free breakfast and lunch. The students come to school looking forward to my class because they absolutely love hands-on, active, engaging projects and challenges that allow them to think outside the box to find solutions! My goal is to allow them to experience activities that are not available to them at home or in the neighborhood.
At this time we are in a virtual setting, but hope to return in February some students to the classroom depending on parent preference.
Students will not be allowed to share items therefore the supplies will still be needed for the school year.
My Project
"I think it's fair to say that personal computers have become the most empowering tool we've ever created. They're tools of communication, they're tools of creativity, and they can be shaped by their user." --Bill Gates
The iPad will be used for portablilty around the classroom in face to face classes with the microphone making it easier for the students to hear me through the mask and allow students on different apps and websites while virtually learning.
A few apps we would use would be Kahoot and Quizlet, which will allow us to review content in a game environment. We are using Code.org to increase our coding skills and will eventually intergrate with robots like Cue and Sphero.
