My Students

My students come from a rural Ohio school district. Our school has over 700 students from Pre-K to 5th grade. My 5th graders are creative and full of questions! They love hands-on, active, engaging projects and challenges that allow them to think outside the box to find solutions! I want to enhance their love of learning with the use of up-to-date technology. Having an Apple TV and an iPad will help make my classroom more engaging for my students.

My Project

This project will allow me to maximize the use of technology in order to differentiate learning in our classroom. An Apple TV and iPad will allow me to maneuver throughout my classroom while modeling and presenting content needed for student success. This equipment will allow students to become familiar with using technology while presenting information to the class. Fifth grade students need to know how to research, use multimedia, and present their findings. The Apple TV will allow them to present their research wirelessly and interact with their audience. The iPad will be used for presentations and in student centers. Students will be able to access apps specifically created to help develop reading and math skills.
